Tattoo Removal
At Gold Coast Tattoos we also offer tattoo removal, if you made a bad choice when you where younger, have been a victim of poor workmanship or have fallen out of love with your original design we can help you. We have two options for consideration, laser tattoo removal or a cover up design, this may still make use of laser tattoo removal depending on your tattoo.
Tattoo removal is done with the use of laser light energy and can be successful in removing tattoos completely, however results do depend on skin type and the size and colour of the tattoo in question. For a better idea of what is possible please arrange for a consultation at our Skin FX studio.
Cover up tattoos
Here at gold coast laser a large majority of our work is the modification of existing tattoos to assist in the cover up process. please take a look at our portfolio to see examples of cover up work we have done in the past, you will be surprised by the results.
- Complete laser tattoo removal can require multiple treatments, depending on the quality, colour, size and position of the tattoo
- Treatments are spaced at about six weeks apart
- Each treatment will cause parts of the tattoo to fragment allowing the body to discard these fragmented pigments. This causes the tattoo to lighten further in between sessions
- Further treatments to any persistent particles of tattoo pigment will then be targeted. This will result in further lightening
- For the purpose of lightening to modify/cover up a tattoo, it is not always necessary to laser the whole tattoo. We can advise on what parts can be removed to enable modification/cover ups
- Does it hurt? There is a tolerable amount of pain involved in a treatment. We recommend the use of a topical anaesthetic, such as Emla, which can make the treatment almost pain free
