Laser Tattoo Removal
Gold Coast Tattoos has recently expanded, and as a result we are now able to provide our customers with an effective laser tattoo removal service. If you made a bad choice when you where younger, if you have been a victim of poor workmanship or if you have perhaps fallen out of love with your original design then we can help you!. As tattoos are inherently quite permanent, at the end of the day you are essentially left with two options - getting laser tattoo removal to complete remove the tattoo or to get a cover up design from one of our skilled artists (they may still request that you get a partial tattoo removal first).
The removal of the tattoo is achieved with the use of specifically targeted laser light energy. The laser can be successful in removing tattoos completely, however the results do depend on your skin type, the size of the tattoo and the colours and inks in the tattoo. Cover up tattoos
As previously mentioned, a large majority of our work here at GCT is the modification of existing tattoos to assist in the cover up process. Please take a look at our portfolio to see examples of cover up work we have done in the past -you may be surprised by the results!
Laser Tattoo Removal Portfolio
- Complete laser tattoo removal can require multiple treatments, depending on the quality, colour, size and position of the tattoo
- Treatments are spaced at about six weeks apart
- Each treatment will cause parts of the tattoo to fragment allowing the body to discard these fragmented pigments. This causes the tattoo to lighten further in between sessions
- Further treatments to any persistent particles of tattoo pigment will then be targeted. This will result in further lightening
- For the purpose of lightening to modify/cover up a tattoo, it is not always necessary to laser the whole tattoo. We can advise on what parts can be removed to enable modification/cover ups
- Does it hurt? There is a tolerable amount of pain involved in a treatment. We recommend the use of a topical anaesthetic, such as Emla, which can make the treatment almost pain free
